    It is a wonderful quilt and it now has a good home and is loved. I have never seen this pattern before. Very unusual. Be sure to write your story up to pass along with the quilt so it will develop its' own new history.

    I wonder if this pattern has a name?

    good for you! and good for the quilt! someone who couldn't care for it put it in a place where it could find a caring owner, you. sometimes that's the most loving thing they could do.

    You got the steal of the day. It is sad people discard very valuable old quilts but good for you and me...cause I sure would have scarfed that right up too.
