Default The Rescued Quilt Story continued

A few months back I was in the thrift store looking for books and came across this wonderful quilt just hanging there on a hanger. It looked so lonely - it cried out to me - I am hand stitched and hand quilted - my owner put a lot of loving hours into me. That is all it took. I purchased the quilt. It had a price tag of $10 on it. Since I am always in the store buying books or whatever else happens to catch my eye I had a credit of $10 (so it was basically free for me-in my opinion). I love my little quilt - I fold it in half and it sits at the foot of my bed.

I'm so glad this little quilt found an owner who appreciates it and will love it the remainder of it's life. How sad someone abandoned it.

Good job! I can see the work that was put into it. You found a real treasure.

What a find. I've never seen that pattern before. Is there a name for the quilt or the block?

Jo----no, unfortunately I do not know anything about the quilt. I do have a lady researching the pattern for me. And I do not know the age of the quilt. I am not a textile expert either and I can't tell you anything about the fabric. But the quilt needed a home and I provided that. I do hope I can find out more information on its history. I love good stories.

Could that possibly be a cathederal window block with appliqued circles over the sashing joinings?
