    Love the colors. What is the name of the block with the turquoise material in it? I have never seen a block like that.

    It is the Alaska Star. It is from Carol Doak's book 50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars (Ma.rtingle & Company, 2000) It was a challenge, but really liked the way it turned out.
