Retirement Day
#1
Friday 29th October was my last day at work!!! I have officially 'Retired' from paid work. But not from life! I have worked for the Catholic church in the Adelaide Archdiocese for the past 14 years.
So I was invited to morning tea with the Craft group that meets at the church each Friday morning and they presented me with the most beautiful quilt. If you read my signature statement you will know why they chose the colours of this quilt. Gold has become my 'signature' in the church.
Many of the ladies in the craft group had a hand in sewing this quilt which they did on Wednesdays when I had my day off. It was such a surprise, I was overwhelmed.
