Unhappy Retirement quilt for friend

I started this retirement quilt for mY BFF. She recently retired and her sorority colors are pink and green. Not really feeling the dark green and pink even though I wanted to use a variation of pinks and greens. Been working on it since July. Hubby and DIL says it's a gift don't worry...but I am worried. What do you think? Thanks for looking and comments. Picture doesn't give colors justice! The light greens and pink are beautiful!

I love the dark green with the pink -- they are my favorites!

I like the variety of colours used, gives it a rich look.

Love the pink and green, I think what you may be seeing is the darkest pink with the darkest green forms a square and breaks up the pattern. If that makes sense. Maybe try the dark green with a lighter pink and dark pink with a lighter green. But try one first. To see if that solves it.
