My niece is having a baby boy in a couple of weeks and she is decorating the nursery in cowboy decor so I thought this would be a cute fabric. I love the way it turned out but not sure about the borders. I had orginally thought of using a brown rope for the inner border but not liking it now that the quilt is together. I have the star fabric for the outer border and have his name to go on it and Cowboy Up.. Anyone have any ideas??? Have to be done tomorrow so I can quilt it.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions but I love the quilt top. It is really cool. :-)

I love the quilt - I would try the red for a small border.

oh that is sooooo cute!! He is going to be one lucky little cowpoke  I think the red or the blue from the blue background in the cowboy print either one would look great. Can't wait to see it quilted. Thanks for sharing.

I just love those retro cowboys! You did a great job. The brown rope didn't look cute? I think any border you choose will frame the top nicely.

Really cute quilt for a lil cowpoke...yellow or the gold would make a good choice for a border.
Free motion quilting with a star an loop design would really tie it all together.
