I went to the QIAD immediately after reading your post - and snapped up a BUNCH of bargains. I even told my DH what I was doing (he walked into the room while I was looking at fabric swatches - what else could I say?) and he said 'Go for it!' What a guy!

Glad you made the plunge JoanneS.

Sometimes I get surprised when I get fabric that I ordered online. You have to be really careful to watch that "swap size!"

The first fabric I bought online was on clearance for about $4 a yard, I bought all they had and was surprised to find that the selvage edge said "made exclusively for Joann's" which I found surprising from what claims to be a LQS, but it is exquisit fabric! I wish I could find fabric that nice at my Joanns!

Okay so I missed the joke, why was this revenge shopping? So the formerly broken sewing machine would have to sew it's heart out?

I got my Woven Star pattern out of the Amazingly Simple Stars book! It's one of my favorite books.

LOL Elizabeth - although my machine is now sewing her heart out :D The revenge part is that I am spending the $$ for repairs to my machine that the dealer I bought it from finally paid me (I had it repaired at another dealer.) I'm investing in more stash, and having so much fun seeing how far I can make it go

My Connecting Threads order finally came in! 1 pattern, 32 fat quarters, a charm pack and 5 yards of background fabric. The fabric feels very nice; I just wish it would've come faster:lol: This is the last of my revenge shopping, hopefully for a long time to come.
