    I could not remember knowing what a string quilt was, I searched it and found it. Man it is so pretty. Quilt as you go, now I see how you did it. One question, on the front the white strips, is that applique? And first time I saw one of these patterns I thought the blocks were 'tubes'. Now I've got to look up tube quilting....ciao

    No they are the joining strips. They join the blocks together and then are sewn down,
