Default Rhondas Wall Hanging Swap - started project

For the seventh time I am participating in Rhondas wall hanging swap and here is my plan. We have until the n of February so I have plenty of time to make choices about this one.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    The fabric:

    The block:

    The samples:

Now I have about twelve to sixteen of these to make and I really like the darkest red for the center, almost black. Sure enough, it was a scrap and I don't have anything remotely similar. SHOPPING!

I haven't chosen the filler fabric yet, I'm going to audition some greens.
    Thanks for looking.
Make your week a good one.
    peace

Oh my! Gasp! I love anything like a stack and whack/ kaleidoscope, but this is especially unique. Does that fabric have a name?

This fabric is so "vintage, yes vintage, that's the word". Not old at all, vintage!

I really don't know how vintage it is, at least 8 years, give or take a few!

The selvage reads: Faye Burgos for Marcus Bros. Textiles

I am always amazed with the quilters on this board. Absolutely amazing !! First it was Rhonda last month with her beautiful repeating Dresden plate and not these stunning stack and whack hexagons. What size hexagon are you using??
