Hi, we had a tute on the Ricky Timms Convergance at our Club and I thought it would be the ideal background for my next quilt which is for my GD who is 4 years old and loves Mermaids. The Mermaid has a sparkle type fabric which doesnīt show up very well.
This is it so far, not finished and has quite a few borders to go yet, but I better get my skates on as her Birthday is in October.

Chele, its not really difficult. Provinding you keep your cutting exact and your seam allowances when you sew to the 1/4" its fine.
We used two fabrics. Basically you cut and stitch twice to get the effect. Really good effect and the ones we did at the club turned out really good. I think the batiks work best with this tecnique though.
Thanks for your comments.
Terri Thanks for you smashing comments.
Donīt think it will be going into a show as we donīt have the shows like you do in the States sadly.
Thanks everybody for your wonderful comments. Justhave to stitch all round those little pieces now.
