Great job on this! I made a mug rug & gifted it to a lady in the Bella Coola area of BC who had been generous in her quilting friendship. I never once considered if I was wasting fabrics or not in the process. If you get a chance to take any course with Ricky Tims I would sure grasp it! I was fortunate enough to attend Shipshewana, Indiana quilt seminars a few years back when he was there... bought his DVD etc... thoroughly enjoyed his presentations & evening show.
Didn't really know if I wanted ... or should go! Somehow I have a hard time getting excited about sitting in an auditorium with 275 people for a day ........... and probably not in comfy seats!(let alone visibility).

I spent some time sewing hanging sleeves on my show pieces.
For the life of me why they want 4 inch sleeves on an 19 piece is silly seeing as they usually get pinned to a curtain,
See RT .. Heavens no. Any time I've seen a video clip.........so no.

Well that was the point of my wanting to see some instructions. Remember a 1/4 inch seam on a 3/4 inch piece consumes a lot more that a 1/4 inch seam on an 6 inch piece etc. I suppose its not much more fabric eating than a double nine patch or a kaleidoscope patch etc. things with a million cuts and re sews.

DD and I saw Ricky Tims there also. Absolutely loved seeing him. The concert was great--loved his stories about his granny.
