    Default Riding with the King

I just finished this t-shirt quilt for my nephew. He's a 27 year old guitarist and he has a huge collection of concert shirts. He doesn't know how I'm putting all of these shirts together, but I couldn't resist just using 3 shirts for this quilt. 2 Eric Clapton and 1 BB King. The title, 'Riding with the King' is the title of one of my favorite music videos. Clapton drives BB around in a vintage Cadillac as he plays his guitar. So I added blocks of guitars and vintage cars to flesh out the 3 tee shirts. I thought this would be a great way to showcase 2 of his favorite artists and honor BB who died a couple of months ago.

Thanks! This is one tee shirt quilt that I enjoyed making and really would have liked to keep...but I know without a doubt that it will be cherished, so I'm good with handing it off to him...he's a great young man.
