    If I had read the instructions, or saw the photo before I started, I would have said "no way". As this was done 1 week at a time, it flowed nicely. I would say to anyone just take it 1 step at a time, just like we did. If you have a lot of scraps, this is a great quilt to use them up.

    This is a fairly new term to me too. It means the top before it is sandwiched and quilted.

    Yes that slowed me down too. I'm doing The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt here on the board (2 blocks a week), as well as the Stars BOM, and another BOM. I also got about 30 yds of fabric from an aunt that is no longer sewing that I'm organizing and cutting into Bonnie Hunter scraps. I do keep busy, thank goodness I am retired.

    I'm not a fan of all over quilting. I thought maybe I was the only one on this board that felt this way! To me the designs do not stand out the way I think they should, and they do not look as soft and comfy as I think a quilt should be. I'm sure I am in the minority on this, as most of the quilts that are shown are all over quilted.

    It's great! I wanted to do the mystery but not at Christmas time. I hear her lecture in Nov so I wanted to do this & will someday. I love your quilt.
