So here is my latest project. I am using the large twister I made myself. The fabric is silk dupioni I have been collecting for a couple years. My DDIL asked for a quilt utilizing the silk taffeta left from her wedding gown I made 20 years ago. So the white around the edge is her fabric. I bought silk/bamboo batting and am planning to back it with silk velvet. Yeah!!! What was I thinking when I started this?!?! I am now ready to put sashing. I like some of the brights in it, but only have 1 yard pieces, so will have to piece the sashing. I have 2 yd pieces of the paler greens and beiges, but want to use one of them for a border. I will welcome any and all ideas.

Extremely elegant! Very clever way to use up your silk dupioni. Please post photos of the finish quilt.

I didn't say it was a mess! It is messed up. I am going to try to keep it relatively neat. Here are some pics.

    Part of my stash, neat

Now I am really jealous. Seeing a project in the works really shows how much room you have.
