    Default Ruler fabric fold

    After reading tips here:
    Folding fabric
I took a basket of fabric from my closet and ruler folded
I am so pleased w the uniform neat folds. I'll organize colors going forward but this simple solution is wonderful.

I should have taken a before pic. I love the after pic and I'm sharing it here.

I did not only does it look good it also gives you more room. The problem is refolding it when your done using it.

I also tried this ruler fold last year and loved it. Now all my fabric are in flat plastic bins by color and I love it. Just pick up a bin and I can see at a glance all fabrics in that colorway. I also thought peeps were being too fussy by having a certain way to fold fabric. Not any more!!!!!

I too am a converted folder. I could not believe how much fabric I had, once I took it out of drawers etc, ruler folded it an put it in a book case. But it took up so much less room and is much easier to access, as well as letting me see a thumbprint of the colour/print at a glance.

To protect the fabric from dust and sunlight, I made a cover for the book case out of a plastic table cloth. My book case is about 3 feet wide by 5 feet tall. The fuzzy back side of the table cloth is a great design/audition wall.
