    Replying to the question about the netting.... I think it's just a way to eliminate a lot of quilting. If not for the netting, you would have to applique all the pieces in the collage. This way, you simply stitch down from on top of the netting! I also like the effects that different colored netting can give... soft golds over brown will give the effect of mist and sunshine, etc. (I used bright turquoise over the horses).
