    I have been having fun with this new technique; you create a fabric picture (like a collage, actually,) on a fabric background then cover the whole thing with fine netting and quilt over the netting. So far I have only done small 'pictures' (12 x 18), but I think it will work on larger pieces, too.

    Awesome. I've saw this done with "snip its" little pieces of fabric cut up & sewn down then netting laid over it. Very intriguing...

    In answer to the question about my avatar... yes, both my husband and I love ballroom dancing. We've been dancing together for 48 years!

    I really like this. You cannot tell by looking at it that it is a collage and the netting gives it that soft smokey look. Just beautiful.
