    The first panel is what I made at a class using a design called "splintered". You need four repeats of a pattern; pile them up, cut them up and put them back together. It worked better with flower prints because the movement worked with the pattern, rather than making this dizzying motion effect.

    The old blanket worked just fine. It was a bit linty.

    I had seen that method in a magazine once. It works for movement with the horses. Great job.
