Oh great! I cut out a bunch of 1.5 today for a swap. And had a lot leftover. I think you will like the bright prints.

Amazing!!! Your sewing looks perfect - I'd be afraid of a postage stamp quilt!

that's just what I thought! After cutting them down & mixing them in.....they just disappear~ as they should! Glad you could use them.

yep, I send 2 1/2" so you could cut the part you liked. Some of the fabric had completely different 'reads' even within that small of an area.

I can not wait to see it done. I love these quilts with so many fabrics. Can you use the backs of some.

I hope to maybe start on mine today. I would like to enter it in a show next year. So I'm going to do mine all by hand. And then hand quilt it. Wish me luck! If I start now, I might get it done by next Aug. giggle It will make a great take along craft. I'll keep it in a tote bag from JoAnn's. That way it will always be ready to grab and take if I have to leave quick.

I have to ask! Do you press every little seam as you sew? Or just sew, sew, sew!!!!! I happen to think of that last night after I went to bed.

It's horrible when you finally go to bed and all you do is lay and think of things you could be making. giggle

Betty, I just finished my FWQ hand pieced...I used a wooden iron with it. Surprizing it worked well. I work on a lap board since all of those pieces was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. I think the main thing is to lock those seams! I didn't do as good job on that as I should have & hand quilting will be a pain because of that. But since my blocks are only 6" with sashing in between...I think just the sashing will get quilted!

Love the start of your postage stamp quilt. If you're interested in a 1.5" swap we have one going on right now.
