    Default Rustic Carpenter's Star/Wheel

This one was finished up before Christmas, as my gift in my "adopted" family exchange/swap. There is always a theme, and for the second year, it was "something I made". My goodness what hidden talents we discovered both years!!

To make something quilty, was given for me ... but what??? Not knowing who would be the recipient called for a somewhat generic item choice. Likewise for colours/fabrics. I decided a simple natural colour palette would be a "safe" choice for most of the group. With the squares finishing at 3", I felt it would be practical as a table topper or a wall hanging, offering to add a hanging sleeve, should it be of interest.

    Thank you for looking!!
(and thanks to my QB friend who kindly reminded me that I had yet to post this!)

    That's a very handsome wall hanging. I like the bronze-y brown-y fabrics.

Oh Oooooooooooooh ... I see that I have a double pic in there.
And now to late to take it out.
    So Sorry!!!!

    Awwwwwwwww thanks, Ladies!

I wish I had some better pics of it. The fabric had a nice sheen to it.
Both the rust and the background cream fabrics were Stonehenge.
The rust had a little bit of bling.
The print was just one that was in "inventory"!
And yes ... all came from my stash!!!

Beautiful in those colors. Carpenter's square is one of my favorite patterns.

Thanks DebCavan ... I can see why it is a favourite. I have only made two in my sewing life. The first was one of the first things I made when I started quilting. I tend not to re-make things, but I can also see its merit in being a nice give-away. For those who do not have quilts, it really is an attractive pattern that most really do like.

Lucky recipient. It's beautiful. Too pretty to cover up as a table topper, IMO.
I'll have to add that pattern to my very large quilting bucket list.
