Ryan's T-Shirt Quilt
#1
Here is a picture of my first T-Shirt Quilt. It is for a friends little five year old son. I sewed and ripped to get it to line up. It was a little more work than I thought it would be.
Going to Hobby Lobby today to buy the backing. His favorite color is blue that is why all the blue.
Now I have to hand quilt it and not sure what to do yet but will figure it out I am sure.

Great T-Shirt quilt. When I make them I find them easiest to tie rather then quilt. I use a hi-loft batting and tie every 3 inches with perl cotton or 3 strands of embroidery floss. It goes really quick and looks good when done. I can't imagine trying to quilt through the T-shirts with the fusible interfacing on it and some of those imprints are hard enough just to get a needle through when tying.

He is going to love it. Great job of putting it together. I'd suggest when you hand quilt that you don't try to sew through the decals. Rather outline them. Each will be different on the backing and the quilt can be a lot of fun either side.
