Sadie's Quilt

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! Kinkajou, the faces are cut from a pre-printed panel called Peek-A-Boo Baby by Amy Bradley. I just cut them out and added the strips to the sides to make them 9" blocks.

I love it! It's bold and I hope the baby loves it too!
I never had such a fine blanket when I was little. But all babies should have two or three of them.
I just had a regular old blanket that my mom said she had to cut in half and I apparently slept with it and carried it around with me.
When she tried to wash it, she said I made a fuss. So, she had to cut it in half so I would always have half and she could wash the other half.
I don't remember this, of course.
It's funny though, my mom back when I was eight crocheted a bold turquois and orange Navajo Indian blanket pattern with lots of fringes. She used to keep that blanket on our family room couch.
But, after a while she got tired of it and I kept it in my room. I've had that blanket for the last 25 years and sleep with it every night.
