I just gotta ask. What is Minkee? I have been using fabrics wherever I could find/obtain/salvage, so the type or names of some fabric are unknown to me. Would someone help in this explanation and why it is so popular? Thanks everyone.

Minkee tends to be stretchy so difficult to quilt with on top. However, my long arm quilter says that it is not a problem on the frame, on bottom. I do have to be careful when putting my binding on a quilt that is backed with Minkee. The pressure foot tends to want to slide off. I just have to really focus on keeping everything lined up a stitch a little more slowly. Minkee also tends to be messy with a lot of fuzzies when you cut it. So be prepared to clean you machine and your sewing space after using it. Hope this is responsive.
