Default same pattern, same layout but different fabric - much better!

When I try a new pattern I like to do a practice quilt - or at least a few practice blocks - with some fabric that I have before I dig into the fabric I bought for the project

I got drawn to the 10 minute quilt pattern and I made a practice quilt this morning and posted that first one here. my practice quilt - will be donated to Quilts For Kids

This afternoon I did practice quilt #2... same pattern same layout but different fabric. I know a million times we have talked about how much of a difference fabric can make this is the first time I have ever done the exact pattern twice with 2 different fabrics.... very interesting comparison. I do like version 2 better... winnie the pooh wins The picture really doesn't do it justice

Winnie definitely wins....I wasn't sure I liked the pattern when you posted the first picture (didn't comment!), but I really like this one. Have always liked the 10 minute block....

OK, I know I'm silly, but I like them both! I know that babies enjoy the bright colors and contrast, but Mom's like the more subtle colors better. They are both great and will be loved.
