    I agree with "Hope to quilt". Leave the sashing off and do a beautiful pattern in the white blocks. The blocks are Gorgeous.

    To sash or not to sash - that is the question...... Either way your quilt is going to be awesome. I would use a plain fabric for the sashing as to not take away from the blocks. Pls post pics when you are done.

    I love your Maine block.That is one of my favorites from the book. All of her stars make a secondary design when sewed together without sashing. Set at least 4 of them together before you decide I think they would look good without sashing.

    I agree with Hope to Quilt....do some real cool quilting in the white spaces. I think sashing would only detract from the spectacular stars. I would maybe frame the quilt with a small inner border of a mixture of the same fabrics as the stars. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
