If it is just short, you may be able to spray it and block it to get the size you desire. Worth sa try

I don't know how short it is, but you can always add a border around the edges to make it 12-1/2". Very pretty - pink and green are my favorite colors.

It is beautiful. Your colors and so soft.

On my Bernina Activa with the 57 foot or 37 foot I have to move the needle one position to the right to make a scant 1/4 inch seam to get blocks to finish to the right size.

This does not lend itself to accurate block sizes just because of the fold when we iron the seams. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. LOL.
Yes, I agree sometimes the pressure foot is heavy.....btw....Watson is absolutely adorable, what breed is he? Thanks,

You are right - it is beautiful. I love, love the Aviary collection from Moda. Got a couple charm packs and sure wish I had gotten more. Sorry your block is a little small. :-(

Thanks for the tip! I have a Bernina Activa 220 and was wondering why my blocks were off. In this Month's Quilter's World magazine there's a detailed article about how to make sure you've got a true 1/4 seam and when you find that 'sweet spot' of the perfect 1/4 " seam, then mark it on your machine- or in your case, move the needle one position closer. Great tip!
    Kind Regards,

Since your block is not the right size, please place in envelope and send my way as the colors are perfect for me! lol

Girl it is beautiful. Just make all the other blocks the same and keep on till quilt is made.
Ok, so maybe that won't work, but how far off is it? If you said I didn't catch that.

Your finished block is to be 12" or 12 1/2"? Sometimes it is a matter of not using the same ruler each time you make a cut, or cutting to the inside or outside of the line instead of right on the line, a million reasons. Even if your wrong if you are consistant, all the blocks will come out the same.

Make sure you post pics when completed. Sure is purdy.

Have this happen to me lots of times even with the 1/4" seam foot on my machine. I fixed this problem by cutting the sq. just a few threads larger or 1/8" larger and when finished cut to size, if it is important for the size of the quilt. Most of the time it is not.
By the way your fabric/color choice for this block is beautiful.
