Your scallops are very nicely proportioned and your method of doing them is well thought out. I would recommend the when you are working with the valley portions that you take two or possibly three stitches in the turn and clip the "v" carefully so that the bias turns easily and sharply. Then, you can treat the fullness in the turned bias as you would a miter. I will be anxious to see your finished quilt.

Love how you did your scalloped border...and thank you for sharing your process. I have never done scalloped borders or bias binding but, coincidentally, I just a video this morning by Patchwork Plus on how to make a continuous bias binding.
