Are they single layer? Really clever idea!

What a fantastic idea, would you be willing to share how you made and stitched it, my son has some many shirts that I would love make him something like this, and in the Wisconsin cold it would be ideal.

they are double layer but the front panel was pieced at one time and the back at another time - I didn't want to try to match up the fabrics.

On the first scarf, I actually just used one long piece of knit on the back side, then serged it to the front pieced panel....

On the second one, I made a patchwork back from back sides of t-shirts and the front side was made from the front side of t-shirts as shown (but made sure I pieced the back differently so the colors/seams didn't match). It was very simple to make.

I LOVE this idea - I have a stack of my boyfriends tee-shirts.. he's waiting for me to make them into a quilt. Hmmm... and I have a serger now too which is sitting in a box...
