    Red face School raffle quilt

Thought I would share this with you all. I thought I would put together a "small, quick" quilt to raffle off at my son's school for the holiday. Knowing that teenagers would be using this I wanted to use terry cloth for the backing to make it soft and durable. I certainly wasn't thinking about how much weight it would add. This "small, quick" quilt is 65 inches square and weighs almost 6 pounds. I broke 8 needles in the process. Lesson learned. Thank you for allowing me to share. Happy Quilting Everyone .

It is beautiful. I love a heavy quilt. But you are right, it is a pain when you break needles.

Very nice quilt. Thanks for the heads up on the terry cloth...I wouldn't have thought of that either!

Too bad about the needles but it is really pretty. Hope it brings lots of money with the raffle. Good luck.
