Scrap Quilts
Hi. I have been quietly watching the chats for a while now. soaking in all the information! Thank you everyone. Along my journey of making quilts I always have spares. Spare blocks or strips or triangles. I am a scrap quilter. I buy sheets from good will, I buy only 1 yard of fabric, sometimes 2 if i really like it. Unless it is black or some sort of cream/neutral. Even if I follow a pattern, I use scarps. I make bags and mug cozies. Quilts and more.
This is for photos, So i wanted to share some of the blocks/tops i have made. I know I make mistakes. But I love making quilts. I am on facebook in many groups. Thank you all, all have a wonderful Quilty Day!

When I first started my quilting journey I always made coordinated quilts, using only 4 or 5 different fabrics. Scrap quilts started growing on me the more of them I saw. Now I prefer scrappy over coordinated. I like scraps where I am choosing many different fabrics in the same color family, like your pretty blue one, or loads of different colors and fabrics grounded by a neutral and even the grounding neutral can be scrappy. Your pictures are a delightful example of what can be done with scraps. Thank you for sharing them.

I love scrappy quilts and yours are great. Thanks for sharing and welcome to the Quilting Board. I've made lots of scrappy quilts and my favorite is a crazy quilt I made. Love seeing all the fabrics that I have made into quilts.

Those quilts are lovely and will be even more so when they are finished!
Don't worry about mistakes too much. Many of us subscribe to the notion that "Done is better than Perfect." As for me, the only thing perfect about my quilts is the love I put into them.
