Great job! He did well, but I too would like to have seen floating stars. Oh well, some minds need that order.

Such a pretty scrappy star quilt. The brown is soft and doesn't detract from the stars but does stop the eye. His ideas just might be ok. Your sewing is great.

Very pretty! I'm curious, is your DH an engineer? My DIL received blocks from a guild drawing and they were not the same size so we sewed extra fabric around them and then cut them into squares that were not straight. My DS, her DH, didn't like it at all, said he bothered him that everything was not in allignment. :-) He is a mechanical engineer and I know they think a little different than the rest of us, but that's not bad, just makes them more special! Be thankful he is interested in what you are doing. And make the next quilt to please yourself! ;-)
