Scrappy (ish) squares

My mom wanted a small quilt at her house for when the kiddies come over to play. She's praying for Grandchildren of her own, but she'll just have to settle for my cousin's daughter for now (I'm in no hurry).
I had a little bit of fabric from the Shade Garden collection from Henry Glass and I threw this together. The back is flannel and I made a poor attempt to free motion butterflies. But it's warm and cozy and I have a feeling my mom just might end up cuddling with it instead of the kids.

I have no idea why, but all my photos are coming out landscape whether they were taken that way or not. Time to get out the manual!
