    Yvonne,
    tell us more about your log cabin. You cut the fabrics into 1 1/5 strips and then you pull them without coordinating? I mean- I understand you might have darks and lights on different boxes. I would love to do a project like yours, using scraps and log cabin which I have never done!

    It is a scientific fact that scraps do multiply. I am very much a scrappy quilter and would rather have scraps than yardage. (Weird, I know)

    Love this idea for using those scraps up. I love scrapy quilts of any kind & I have yet to do a log cabin, so have ot add this to my list now for sure. Yours is a real beauty.

    You've got the directions just perfect. I started with the traditional red square (fire in the hearth) and a yellow square (light in the window). I couldn't decide on red or yellow so went with both! Then I basically just strip pieced the blocks. I'd do all the strips on one side. Square up the block and then add the next side of strips. By doing it this way the blocks were made fairly quickly.
