Made this little pin cushion today out of tiny scraps of soft furnishing fabrics. I was practising using Vlizafix (sp) on very small pieces, boy that stuff is sticky! I embroidered little flowers in the four corners and it was fun to make.

Craftybear, I just used left over pieces of polyester backing for this one, usually I would put a wool inner to stop pins rusting etc but don't have any at present, pity the lace on the sides did not show on the pic as it is rather pretty. I am making these for a special fund raising day we hold each year at a friends home for our local church. She has dozens of art and craft people who set up stalls at her home. There is coffee tea cakes and savouries, all home made, wonderful raffels etc. It is a wonderfully successful day as a fund raiser, even in spite of last years weather where we were almost snowed in!

I have a thing for pin cushions, too. Love 'em. There are so many cute ideas for them. This one that Gal posted is so pretty, too. We alll have so many scraps and pin cushions are just one more really neat and useful thing to make from them.
