Riverton quilter sent me a few quilts for LAQ. I love scrappy quilts and this one is no exception.
It is so warm and inviting. :)
She asked me to bring out the squares and pinwheels because she felt they weren't as noticeable because it is a scrappy quilt. I outlined the pinwheels...and put little feather plumes on the squares....I also put wavy lines in those colored blades to soften them a bit. I filled in all the rest of the HST with "Charisma Curls".
The border I filled with a feather because she likes feathers but has never had one quilted on her quilts......WHAT??!! That is a travesty! Someone who LIKES feathers doesn't have one?? So I fixed that! I love the finished quilt..the back says it all!
The colors are actually much warmer in person....but to get the proper lighting for quilting..had to sacrifice the color of the quilt.
I used Hobbs poly down batting.
I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA>
Thanks for looking.
