Sounds like a lot of us have the ruler, including me. I've started one using my leftover shirt fabrics from another project. I experimented with paper piecing it and using the ruler. The ruler is the way to go hands down!!!! Way more fun. If you want to see some one having fun with this tool, go to Jenny's tutorial - you'll be making one this afternoon!!!!!

Pineapple Quilt
Love your Pineapple quilt! It’s amazing and very inspiring! I never thought of doing the border as you have - what a great idea!
My quilting buddy and I have the same ruler and periodically cull our stashes for scraps that would work and then trade with each other. This has been a work in progress for a couple years now - it’s one of the projects we work on together when we can. We even have “to go” bags packed and ready should an unexpected opportunity to sew present itself! I do have a couple of photos, but cant figure out how to post them (might not be able to from my iPhone?).

Ok, my apologies to everyone... my post with the iCloud link to photos of my pineapple block has been deleted so must not have been acceptable - i understand. What i don’t yet understand how to post photos from the iPhone X so will not be attempting that until i can get get a handle on the proper procedure. I am so sorry but will work on this cuz i am a newbie and really don’t intend to make any waves.
