I don't know how big it is going to be yet, I guess that depends on how many more star blocks I can make. I am thinking about a country type red for a border and then maybe a border of the patches. What do you think This is also the first time I am posting a picture, so let's cross our fingers.

    This one is how to go about 'making' the D9P heart blocks;

    The heart(s) take the most time to make, once they are done the rest of the quilt (9 patch) goes together fast.
    About.com has a really neat quilting section, don't they? They have great patterns! And much inspiration! Now if only they could tell me how to get more hours out of the day... LOL!

    Rebecca, I LOVE your quilts, you have such a good eye for colour!!

    Trust me once you 'free yourself of the constraints of colour coordinating, the feeling is fantastic! You get so many surprises and much less stress about which goes and what doesn't or shouldn't sit next to once another, as long as their is 'good contrast' is all that you are aiming for! Thanks for all your lovely comments to everybody, I have just enjoyed reading every one of them. I often sit and go through ALL the scrappy pictures, they are such an inspiration aren't they!

    Well done everyone, it cheers me up to see all of your wonderful creations when I wake up!

    So many have mentioned that after making scrap quilts, they still have LOTS of scraps. This is embarrassing, but here are some of my scraps. You can't see all of them because the closet goes back a couple of feet on each side. The scraps are (mostly) by color, although I do have a garbage bag or two of mixed colors. Anyone have more than this? (PS Why are so many of the pages duplicated?)
