Your quilts are wonderful and so are all of the others. I love scrappy. And to think there was a time not to long ago when I just couldn't put more than four colors in a quilt!! Here are a few of mine.Thank you quiltville for such great patterns, it looks like most of us have been using them.

Thank You sooooo much. I am cleaning out my closet and turning many old kahki pants and plaid/floral shirts in this quilt...I think it would be perfect!!

Everyone--thanks for so many more ideas! I never knew scrappy quilts could be so stunning!
Is there a pattern or directions somewhere? I love, love, love it!!

I thought it to be lots of different color scraps from other projects, as descibed in the reach in the bag method. At any rate, all the quilts shown were very nice. I love color.
that's what I thought which is why I haven't made one myself yet. I've been saving every piece worth saving in a drawer. It's about half full so I'm not going to start it yet. And I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to make. I'm leaning toward a Scrappie Jacob's ladder with light pieces in one bag and dark pieces in another. Now to get back to sewing so I can get more scraps!
I think most of us who love scrappy quilts would agree that you can use a planned color scheme, just as long as the fabric is mostly left-over stuff from other projects...they don't have to be made from the 'reach in the bag method'

They are all so beautiful! I simply can't choose a favorite. However, I have lots of Christmas fabrics I've collected over the years and am planning to make a scrappy Christmas quilt. Thanks for the idea "deedum."
