    I agree, I love the way the eye wants to investigate all the fabrics and patterns. My hearts were made totally out of all my scraps and I made it over a few years so that I had enough of certain colours to make it more colour controlled. Squares are 1inch finished and 90 squares in each block. I was going to make it bigger but this is it. I have put borders on it now but haven't photographed it.
    This thread has been fun to look through. Brilliant work done by all.
    Whay a great idea for the 1.5" swappers to do. Like this even more that it's this size of square :lol:

    I used to get the 1.5" mail order swatch samples and I made a wall hanging that used 400 of them. The pattern is called,
    "Road to St. Louis"; quilt name is: "Wildly Charming". I don't have a copy of it that I can download here, but you can see it in my webshots album.

    I love them all, especially the DP9 and Heart and the houses.

    Thank you, I had fun (and some challenges) making both!

    The D9P, I found on line;
    This one is how to go about 'making' the D9P heart blocks;

    http://blocksnswaps.blogspot.com/2008/02/disappearing-9-patch.html

    And this one is how to make the heart blocks;

    http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpatternsprojects/ss/heart_quilt.htm

    The heart(s) take the most time to make, once they are done the rest of the quilt (9 patch) goes together fast.

    The Happy Scrappy Houses was from Bonnie Hunters;

    http://quiltville.com/happyscrappyhouses.shtml

    they both used "lots of scraps", but I still seem to have "lots of scraps" :?
