Sometimes non-quilters and/or young people have no concept of how nice a scrappy quilt can look. Make one anyway, show it to her and then tell her.... too bad you said you didn't want it. Maybe she'll change her mind!

My daughter and I like different kinds of quilts. Scrappy is not her thing and I respect that. She honestly told me once I had wasted a good piece of toile I had used for the backing of a scrappy. And when she really likes a quilt I make she also honestly tells me what she likes about it. When she comes to visit she still sleeps under several scrap quilts! :)

Your quilts are GREAT! Thanks for posting the last one with the matching pillowcases. I've been wanting to make matching pillowcases for a quilt I made MANY years ago. If I used your idea of just incorporating an element of my quilt into the case - the cases would finally get done!

These quilts are all so beautiful! Not at all what I would have considered "Scrappy Quilts".

    Yes!

DH offered to give the local animal shelter a quilt to help the spay/neuter program. Turns out, I'd already given my dog quilt to a charity for kids. I got discouraged while I was making this, which is scraps around fussy cut kittens (those were someone else's scrap). My LQS had a special on a cat panel, so I mad the shelter that quilt, then went on to finish this one, so they get to raffle 2.

So fun to see everyone's scrappy projects. QM, I do like your scrappy 'kittens in the garden'. Lucky person who bought it!
