Real dummy here. I have never used fusible grid; do you sew your squares individually onto the grid lines? Can't quite visualize how you sew the squares together? Guess truth is I don't visualize process at all. Can someone give me a quick instruction? sounds like something I would like to make. I will start with a WH. Thanks.

I tried it a few times, afterall once you own the grid might as well use it. I agree. the seams are bulky. Simple cross hatch quilting might work. It turned out lovely. I love a yellow and blue quilt. I think I turned mine into placemats.

Rvsfan you iron your squares to the fusible grid then you sew the squares together. I've used the fusible grid but I didn't have the bulky seams. I also didn't do 2" squares. I ended up using 6" squares. This maybe more work that you are willing to put in Marion but you could press all the seams open. That will eliminate some of the bulk.

I bought this product years ago when it first came out I believe it was on an episode of Simply Quilts and I have never used it. I thought there wasn't any issue with bulky seams? Will have to pull it out and see, I certainly have enough fabric scraps to give it a try. Thanks MarionsQuilts! Oh by the way I love your quilt sorry you had issues with it.

yes, please!
I've considered using it before and would like to know if I need to know
a "trick" to it, which obviously you would have used also had you known.
Maybe this brand is thicker?
I wonder if I could draw a grid on fusible pellon?
