I use 2 tablecloths for some, that's why there is a 3rd hanger. That's for when the quilt is bigger than just a throw like this one is.

    Smilessssss...

@ followers of my thread: Fibro reared it's ugly head so sewing today was cut short and I'm having a close encounter with my heating pad. I got some things done, but didn't make it to the pressing stage. Hopefully will get back to it tomorrow.
This is one of the great things about quilting; it's always there waiting for you when you have to walk away for a while.

Hugs , sorry you had a slight set back. :( My mystery quilt will be there when I get the gumption (Sp) to get back to it... lol the Apples are applique` here but not sure I like mine either! Do take care of yourself.

    Huggles,
    Sharon

Thanks, Wildyard for letting us watch the creative process. I love the finished product. And I agree, seeing you do this makes me feels more creative.

I love the way you're combining the different fabrics. The colors are great. They make me smile. If I were ill it would make me feel happier. I'm anxious to see the finished quilt. Good luck to your sister.

I have just read of your sister's illness. This quilt will speak volumes to her and bring her much joy, love and comfort. You did good wildyard.

Today I added a row of 3" squares to the top and bottom for some extra length. My sister is, after all, 5'10". Don't want her to have cold toes! :)
I had planned to add a scrappy border to the stripe of approx 2 1/2" to 3" then bind it with the stripe. Now that I see it with the stripe border, I am not so sure about the scrappy border addition.
What do you guys think? Do I need a photo with the scrappy up there to see how that looks too?

Do I add the scrappy border or do I not????

I like it like this. But without seeing what you mean, with the added scrappies, it might look good with the addition. IMHO it is complete.
