    Default Scrappy slash table topper

I had extra charm squares left over and decided to experiment with a new technique- birthing a small quilt. I didn't feel like tying the small table topper so experimented with crazy FMQ on the flimsy and batting before sandwiching the back and " birthing" the quilt.
Thought I would try out this method before tackling a lap quilt made of panels that I don't want to cut up ...or at least today, I don't want to cut up. Lol

Sometimes "birthing" is the way to go!

I learned that term yesterday! It is the "naked" quilt top before the batting and the back is sandwiched.
