    Thank you everyone for the feedback. I don't know if there is a name for the pattern. I just played with 2 basic blocks until I was happy with the layout. Most of my quilts happen like that! LOL And no, I didn't make a dent in my scraps! Still have boxes and boxes to play with! I make it a habit to cut all small scraps into 2 1/2 in squares when I am done with a project and toss them into one box for just those.

    I'm impressed that you played without a pattern and it turned out looking deliberately cool--in both pattern and tone. Scrappies are so much fun to have around. Bet you're glad it's finally done!

    Beautiful quilt!! Why do everyone else's scraps seem to coordinate so well, and mine look terrible together (to me, anyway)?
