I made a similar quilt several years ago. I, too, dreamed it up in my head. I used black for the center triangles, finished the triangles into squares and used black sashing. I'll see if I can find a picture for you... I would like to make one using the triangle blocks like yours. Could not find a pattern on the first link. Is there a pattern for it that is not paper pieced?
