    I would choose a border, made using the same fabric as the chain. Eleanor Burns has several Irish Chain books with lots of pictures showing them with and without borders. Check at your local library, or Joann Fabrics might have those books so you can see them done different ways to help you decide.

    It is so nice to hear hat you had a growth moment, while making this very cool scrappy quilt. I can tell you will always cherish it, as it should be.

    Try a few different tone on tone fabrics for a possible border. I'm seeing med dark green.
    maybe a narrow purple and a wider green to finish. Whatever you do it will be great.

    I think it looks great! I wouldn't put a border on it. It works really well as it is.
