    I've seen a lot of quilts with pretty centers and then....somehow as if they got bored, the remainder of bed size quilts is plain, boring, or ugly. You went the whole nine yards!! This is one of my favorite patterns, but since I have never paper pieced, I hadn't considered trying it. You make me tempted!!

    Thank you all for the encouraging words! Having made only two quilts since I got addicted to this art form a year ago, the attagirls are inspiring and appreciated.

    This tumbling blocks is pieced in strips (Marci Baker's "Not Your Grandmother's Tumbling Blocks").

    I added the red 'picture frames' and the single row of blocks around the overhang border cuz, being king size, it just seemed to need something to set off those top blocks and break up all that overhang length.
