    Thank you all. This is one of those patterns that non-quilters think is much more complex than it is. One of the great things about scrappies is the same thing as it was for our great-grandmothers. You pick up a fabric and remember what it was a scrap from. Of course, if you are new to quilting, get FQs or buy half yards of things you like and do it that way. I just noticed that a half yard will make 4 2 1/2" strips and 5 5 1/2" strips (WOF...width of fabric) Hmmmm It might be fun to make this up in batiks.
