I think a nice solid dark binding would set it off without the need for another border. Very nice quilt by the way!

I think a small border would be good - in a solid color. I'm partial to adding a border or two - sort of gives the piece a framed look....

Binding it in a dark color would be good. It depends on what you're using it for and whether or not it needs to be bigger. Beautiful Cowan, Tennessee! I had relatives there growing up, and I remember it well.

Forgive this new quilter but PLEASE, how did you do this? Does this pattern have a name? I love the pattern and would love to make a quilt like this one. If you would tell me how, I really would appreciate it.
    thanks

Love it as is. If you need it larger, I think a darker print that reads almost solid would be nice for a boarder. I think plain solid would not be in keeping with your scrappy print look. Is it a D4P?

It is made with four 5" squares; then you make 1' cuts left and right and top and bottom of center; rotate the larger pieces and resew; then square up your blocks. (Then it's called a D4P---a disappearing four patch) I just added the sashing pieces so I wouldn't have to worry about matching all those seams you get. Of course you could use larger squares. I was just trying to use of leftover material.

I love your quilt .It is so charming. If you need it to be bigger I would add a dark border .If not leave it alone. It really looks good.
