    That is a great idea and looks lovely! long ago i made a cover for a futon (chest i kept blankets or quilts in) and made it to fit the top with over hang(border). then pinched the corners to fit the futon, stitched them and slipped it on with the "corners" on the inside. it was reversible. when i wanted to change it i ripped the stitched corners and re-folded and stitched. then used the other side of the"quilt". Idea like these are great!! Keep on doing things like this.
